We started the month at Carolina Shores Park in Myrtle Beach, where we stayed for two weeks total, one week in October and one in November. The weather was perfect during our stay, and we loved being right on the beach. We were also able to fit in a couple of visits. Jenn has family in the area, so we visited her cousin, and I have a friend who has moved here as well, which gave us a chance to see him, too.

We got out and explored some, too, visiting a state park just up the street, where we hiked with the dogs. We truly enjoyed our time in Myrtle Beach. The daily sunset walks on the beach and the beautiful weather made it a very memorable stop.

Our next stop was a familiar place in Brunswick, Georgia, a park called Southern Retreats. We stayed here last year on our journey to Florida, and it has changed somewhat since then. They completed a new section, which was nice, but it was very tight for an RV of our size. The roads were narrow, the sites were narrow, and our site was not really long enough for both our RV and truck. It seemed odd that a newly built section was not designed to accommodate modern RVs. Overall, though, the stay was fine.

While we were there, we went back to St. Simons Island and visited the Argentinean/Italian fusion restaurant to celebrate my birthday, and it was just as good as we remembered from last year. We stayed in Georgia for only five days before it was time to hitch up and head to Florida.

Our next stop was Thousand Trails Three Flags in Wildwood, Florida. This is another park we really liked. It is no frills and fits our style perfectly. We stayed there for three weeks, including Thanksgiving. The park hosted a dinner and potluck, providing turkey, mashed potatoes, and green beans, while attendees brought additional dishes. More than 100 people showed up, and there was an incredible amount of food. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed a wonderful meal.

One thing we noticed at this park was the strong sense of community. Events like this play a big role in bringing people together. They also hosted bingo games every Monday and Friday, which we attended when we could and had a lot of fun. This closes out the month of November.
